How to Survive the Hordes in Pokémon Legends: Arceus: A Trainer’s Guide to Staying Alive
By orbots, Pokémon Survival Expert well uhhh kinda not so much but eh well whatever
Pokémon Legends: Arceus has revolutionized the Pokémon franchise by introducing a vast, open-world Hisui region filled with wild Pokémon some of which are not too friendly and try to kill you. One of the most intense challenges in the game is facing hordes of aggressive Pokémon. These hordes can quickly overwhelm even the most seasoned trainers. But fear not! With the right strategies, you can survive these encounters and emerge victorious.
What Are Hordes in Pokémon Legends: Arceus?
Hordes are groups of wild Pokémon that attack you simultaneously, often in the overworld. These encounters can happen unexpectedly, especially in areas with high-level or aggressive species like Paras, luxray, or those annoying Alpha Pokémon. Unlike traditional battles, horde encounters require quick thinking and smart use of your tools.
Top Tips for Surviving Hordes
1. Stay Stealthy
- Use Tall Grass and Crouching: Sneak through tall grass to avoid detection. If you’re spotted, crouch to reduce your visibility.
Act like a pokemon like those that for some whatever reason you never saw coming when you were walking in the pixel grass
- Smoke Bombs: Craft and use Smoke Bombs to create a smokescreen, allowing you to escape or reposition without being noticed.
2. Keep Your Distance
- Observe from Afar: Use the zoom to scout areas before entering. If you spot a horde, plan your route carefully.
Don't jump straight to the danger like WHEEEEEEE cause the pokemon will run away or will kill you
- the Ride Pokémon: Use Wyrdeer, basculegion, or Braviary to outrun or evade hordes quickly.
3. Use Your Pokémon Wisely
- Send Out Your Team: If you’re caught in a horde, send out your Pokémon to engage in battle. Focus on taking down one Pokémon at a time to reduce the numbers.
Also shift between strong and agile styles when needed
- Type Advantages: Make sure your team has a variety of types to counter the horde’s strengths. For example, bring Water-types for Fire hordes or Electric-types for Flying hordes. Don't be like ash Ketchum that attacks an onix with a f#####g pikachu 🐀🐀🐀
4. Stock Up on Supplies
- Potions and Revives: Always carry plenty of healing items to keep your team in fighting shape
Is better to crafr them by yourself cause the salesman is a scammer thief that sells everything at high prices. 💵
- Sticky Globbs and Berries: Use items like Sticky Globbs to stun wild Pokémon, giving you time to escape or heal. Berries can distract aggressive Pokémon, buying you precious seconds. ⏰️
5. Master the Art of Dodging
- Roll and Sprint: Use the dodge roll to avoid attacks and create distance. Rolling can help you escape dangerous situations.
- Timing is Key: Watch for attack animations and dodge at the right moment to avoid taking damage.
Roll a ninja like naruto or something
6. Focus on Alphas First
Alpha Pokémon: If an Alpha Pokémon is leading the horde, prioritize taking it down first. Alphas are stronger and can deal massive damage if left unchecked.
But If it is an apha horde. .........you are screwed,
Use Status Moves: Moves like Sleep Powder or Thunder Wave can incapacitate Alphas, making them easier to handle.
However sadly these aren't as efficient as in the other games 😕
7. Retreat When Necessary
- Know When to Run: If the horde is too much to handle, don’t hesitate to retreat. Use Smoke Bombs or your deer Pokémon to make a quick escape. 🦌🦌🦌 Rudolph escape
- Heal and Return: Once you’re safe, heal your team and plan a new strategy before re-engaging.
Best Pokémon for Horde Encounters
Some Pokémon are particularly effective at handling hordes:
- the creation gods trio: With their high Attack and powerful moves, they can quickly take down most threats.
- hisuan goodra: Its steel and Dragon typing makes it a powerhouse against a variety of opponents.
- arceus: the god of all pokemon can kill everything with the legend plate but careful with the limit of the pps
- Snorlax: Its high HP and Defense make it a great tank for absorbing hits.

Surviving hordes in Pokémon Legends: Arceus requires a mix of strategy, preparation, and quick reflexes. By staying stealthy, using your tools wisely, and building a balanced team, you can turn even the most chaotic encounters into victories.
